An Affiliate Success Story

Wordpress Link Cloak
I just came across this nifty little Wordpress plugin today. I wish I had found it about six months ago, because I invested in another program that essentially does the same thing but is much more complicated and much more expensive.
Okay, what I’m talking about is Wordpress Link Cloak. As the name implies, this a Wordpress plugin, so it will only work on Wordpress sites. Here’s what it does … it makes it effortless for you to assign a link (most often an affiliate link) to any keyword phrase, or multiple keyword phrases, you desire. Whenever that phrase appears in a post throughout your entire web site it will automatically link to the url you set. Plus, the link will be cloaked.
Let me give you an example. Let’s say you have a website about anti-spyware. You go into your Wordpress dashboard after downloading the plugin and activating it, select the keywords spyware and adware and assign them an affiliate link. Let’s say www.spywareaffiliatelink.com. The plugin will automatically cloak the link and place it within a folder that you name, for instance /like.
That’s all you need to do. Whenever you add a post to your website, if it contains the words spyware or adware, those words will be highlighted with whatever link color you choose, and if your visitor clicks that link it’ll take them to your affiliate product. Equally important, your visitors won’t be able to read the affiliate link, so they won’t be able to directly work around it.
It’s that simple.

Mixing Adsense And Affiliate Products
You don’t see these kinds of sites very often today, but in the early days of online marketing, there were quite a few web sites that were plastered with unrelated affiliate products. A single web site page might carry affiliate products for removing spyware from your computer, losing weight, and curing your acne.
Marketers have long since learned that web sites and web site pages need to be focused. Build a website around a single affiliate product in a single niche and you’ll be far more successful.
But you still see numerous pages with a mix of affiliate products and Adsense ads. In fact, many marketers will tell you to throw both up there and if the affiliate product doesn’t sell at least you have a shot at some Adsense revenue. Does this model work?
Yes, you might bring in a few cents here and there through your Adsense ads. However, if you’re serious about marketing the affiliate product, then I’d suggest you leave off the Adsense ads (which can actually encourage visitors to leave your page for what they perceive as greener pastures) altogether.
Instead, focus every square inch of space on that web page to promote the affiliate product. This means the content of the page, any banners or graphics, outgoing links … everything should be built around the affiliate product.
Don’t distract your visitors. Help them find the solution to their problem … the affiliate product.

Commission Blueprint - Review
You’ve probably already heard about Commission Blueprint. In fact, you may have already seen their short video, which is designed to demonstrate that the good folks behind Commission Blueprint (Tim Godfrey and Steven Clayton) are real and have actually accomplished what they claim to have accomplished (earn over $500,000.00 through Clickbank in the last seven months).

What Is Lacking
There isn’t much missing in this package. Several of the videos, particularly in the middle, provided more of an overview than specific step-by-step information. If information wasn’t included in the videos, it was included in the pdf files. I just became so spoiled by watching the videos that I really wanted everything to be presented in the video format.
How It Excels
Commission Blueprint takes the guesswork out of the process of choosing a successful Clickbank product. It provides a system for evaluating and testing products using established criteria that quickly eliminate those products that aren’t going to be successful and uncovering those products that will. You discover what to look for, how to evaluate the numbers, how to create your story and your landing page, and how to tie them all together. It doesn’t leave out anything.
Who It’s For
Commission Blueprint is an affiliate business model, a very successful affiliate business model. Like any successful business, it requires that you actually make an effort. If you tend to buy products because they’re hyped, sometimes never even opening them after you’ve downloaded them to your computer, sometimes tinkering around with them for awhile then moving on to the next big thing … Commission Blueprint is not for you.
In addition, if Google Adwords is outside your comfort zone, Commission Blueprint is not for you. (Sidenote: if it is outside your comfort zone, I suggest you study up on it, because it’s an important element of Internet marketing and isn’t nearly as complicated as people make it out to be.)
On the other hand, if you’re serious about building a successful online business, Commission Blueprint provides everything you need to know about how to find and pre-sell affliate products. And it’s surprisingly easy to do. However, you do have to follow through.
Here’s the bottom line: find one business model that’s right for you, stick with it, refine it to your needs, keep building it, keep working it, and you’ll become successful online. If affiliate marketing is a business model that interests you, then Commission Blueprint has everything you need to stand tall above the masses and earn great Clickbank checks. It’s the best high-powered affiliate training that I’ve seen.
