Review - The Web 2.0 Traffic System
I picked up a copy of Web 2.0 Traffic System by Mike Worthington yesterday. I did this because even though I’ve toyed with Squidoo pages and Technorati tags here and there, I still don’t have a honest understanding of how all this stuff works and how it can help me generate traffic.
That is what it’s all about, isn’t it? Generating traffic?
In his introduction, Worthington says this about Web 2.0: “So what do you mean by ‘Web 2.0’ anyway? Well, to put it in a nutshell: Web 2.0 can be defined as a second generation of websites that utilize latest technologies such as AJAX, Social Bookmarking and Tagging, and focus more on the user, enabling them to ‘mould’ the website around them. Web 2.0 is fast becoming the hottest term for 2007 and many folks are scrambling to cash in on this online phenomenon. It’s that powerful!”
With that in mind, the thrust of Web 2.0 Traffic System to show you what the most powerful Web 2.0 websites are, how they differ, and then how to use them. He covers YouTube, Google Video, Digg, del.icio.us, Squidoo, and several others. He even includes a section on blogs.
So, the big question: does Worthington deliver?
I definitely found it worth the investment. If you’ve been tagging your blog posts, setting up Squidoo lenses, posting videos, and hanging around Digg, then this probably is not the ebook for you. However, if you’re fairly unfamiliar with Web 2.0 and it’s potential, this ebook is an excellent resource.
Overall, it’s the best Web 2.0 resource I’ve come across. Check it out for yourself: Web 2.0 Traffic System
