Don’t Have The Tools? Try OpenOffice.org

If you’re just starting out in Internet Marketing you may not be in a position to afford some of the basic tools you have in your arsenal. For instance, Microsoft has a professional suite of tools that includes Word, Excel (a spreadsheet), PowerPoint, and more. It’s not cheap by any means, and if it’s out of your reach you aren’t alone.

So what can you do?

Fortunately, OpenOffice.org offers a free produtivity suite that you can download directly to your computer. It includes key desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and a drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites. Sophisticated and flexible, OpenOffice.org also works transparently with a variety of file formats, including those of Microsoft Office, and the vendor-neutral OpenDocument standard from OASIS. In addition, it’s stable on Solaris, Linux (including PPC Linux), Windows, Mac OS X (X11), and numerous other platforms.
